$60 for unlimited online backup storage is a great deal. As a home user this won't be too practical, but for small businesses, this could provide extra security for your data. |
|
I agree, that is a really good price for unlimited online backup. Small/home businesses or professionals who travel (photog/film/etc) would probably find this really nice. |

It IS a deal, but trusting your data to an online service is sketchy at best. I prefer a home based solution and a good locking firebox. |

realneil, A firebox is a good backup, but this would provide extra security through a very reliable company (McAfee have been around for a while). Again, if you firebox gets stolen or broken into, what will you do? Of course for the average consumer, nobody is going to try and break into your firebox to get at your porn stash... |

Unlimited capacity? Rainy day activity #247: 1) Install McAfee online backup to a machine running in a VM. 2) Map a drive letter from the VM to /dev/urandom on the host. 3) Start backing up the "drive" and see how long until someone from McAfee comes to my house. |
