The new laptops are part of MSI's Classic series, a breed of stylish notebooks built for general purpose multimedia chores. It is, however, a little odd that the 17.3-inch panels will only support a 1366x768 resolution instead of rolling with Full HD 1080p.
No word yet on price or availability.

With you on this one, Paul - those specs look nice, but a resolution of 1366 x 768 px on a 17.3" screen would certainly be a deal breaker for me. MSI (and other notebook producers) should be going in the other direction !... Henri |

Sorry, but the info is not accurate: the LCD panel is 17,3 @ 1600x900 (source: http://ro.msi.com/product/nb/CX70.html#/?div=Specification ) |

Thanks for checking this out, LLazar ! I had looked for this machine on our cheif product-search website here in Sweden, but since it wasn't being marketed here - and still isn't, for that matter - found nothing. In any event, with a 1600 x 900 screen, the CX70 immediately becomes more interesting. I note that even the CR70, which has an Ivy Bridge i5 processor, also supports a panel with a max resolutin of 1600 x 900 pixels. Looking forward to seeing them here in Sweden !...
