MSI Introduces AMD-Based X-Slim X430 Thin-And-Light

Here lately, MSI has been expanding its product line by introducing all-in-one PCs and gaming motherboards. In fact, it has been quite awhile since we've seen a new X-Slim notebook, though MSI did manage to pop quite a few out during the earlier quarters of this year. Now, the X-Slim 430 is making its debut, but rather than utilizing one of Intel's CULV chips, this one is actually looking to AMD for the processing power.

The Ultra-thin machine sports a 14" display, AMD's 2nd-generation ultrathin platform, Windows 7 and MSI's own ECO engine, which steps down power usage depending on the application. Within, you'll find a dual-core Athlon Neo X2 CPU, a Blu-ray drive (optional/external), HDMI/VGA outputs, two USB 2.0 sockets, a multi-format card reader, Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. There's also a 1.3MP camera, a 1366x768 display, ATI Mobility Radeon HD3200 GPU, 2GB of RAM and your choice of a 4- or 8-cell battery. There's no mention of a price or release date yet, but we'd say it'll probably be out before Christmas if the folks at MSI know what's good for 'em.
