Well, this is sneaky. MSI
has just revealed that they will be hosting a
press event at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, and the funny thing
is they aren't telling what will be there. But they are telling who will
be sharing the stage with them: Bigfoot Networks. That's the company

ping times and lag, and generally smooth out online gameplay. Killer has
already integrated their NIC technology onto a GPU
, but the obvious
next step is to integrate it into mainboards.

specifically told that a new mainboard with Bigfoot's technology will be
embedded, this line gives us good reason to believe that's what on tap:
"press can see for themselves the benefits a Killer 2100 gaming network
card can offer as an upgrade to even an industry-leading motherboard."
Also, Michael Howse (the CEO of Bigfoot
Networks) was quoted as saying
the following: "We are pleased to be working with MSI. The Killer 2100
gaming network card is a perfect complement to the MSI Big Bang family
of mainboard solutions that will give gamers a competitive edge in
We'll have to wait and see what exactly will be revealed, but it's not
too early to read between the lines. More mainboards with a focus on
smoothing out online gameplay? We'll take it!
