MSI Gives Latest Wind Netbook a Touch of Class
It's getting difficult to discern one netbook release from another, which is our way of saying if you've seen one, you've seen them all. Until now. While the internal hardware is standard fare for a modern day netbook, MSI's latest entrant -- the Wind U135DX -- adds a bit of style to the genre by coating its latest netbook with its own "Color Film Print with elegant patterns."
The special coating comes applied to both the cover and wrist rest areas, but it's not all about looks. MSI says the touchpad is now 20 percent bigger for easier control.
Outside of the aesthetic changes, this is still a netbook as you've come to know it. Specs include an Intel Atom N455 processor clocked at 1.66GHz, Intel GMA3150 graphics, 2GB of DDR3-667 memory, 160GB hard drive, 4-in-1 memory card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, 3- or 6-cell battery, 0.3MP webcam, and Windows 7 Starter Edition.
No word yet on when these new units will ship or for how much.

Intel ATOM processor N455: The Wind U135DX comes with Intel's latest ATOM N455 processor with power-sipping single-chip architecture enhancing overall performance by 10% and extending battery life by 15%.
