Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Notebook: Super Slim And Sexy

Lenovo's ThinkPad line has always been sexy in its own way. Solid, rigid, and robust, but also classy and understated. It's a design that has withstood the test of time, and there's no sense in changing what works. But a gentle tweak and a nip-tuck never hurt a notebook, that's for sure.

Just as MSI's X-Slim line and Apple's MacBook Air redefined "thin" in the laptop realm, the newly unveiled ThinkPad X1 is about to do the same for the classic ThinkPad range. This highly portable device is about the thinnest business notebook we've seen to date, and while Lenovo hasn't "officially" put it on sale yet, there's no question that it's legitimate and very real.

The highlight of the device is the external enclosure and the "slice" battery. Reportedly, this new battery technology will allow it to recharge in next to no time, with claims of 2.5x faster than previous ThinkPad batteries being thrown about. We still have to wait to find out the actual specifications, but at least there's no doubt that they're on the way. Warm those credit cards up!
