It was nearly a year ago
that Leap Motion
first snagged a deal with ASUS that saw the Leap Motion controller shipping with some of the company’s laptops and desktops, but things have really picked up for Leap Motion in the last few months.
In September, HP opted to bake
the motion-controller maker’s technology into the Intel
Haswell-based HP Envy 17 Leap Motion SE (after previously adding it
to select PCs), and now HP is rolling out a whole fleet of machines packing Leap Motion’s tech.
There are 11 total computer models shipping with the option for adding a special HP USB Leap Motion keyboard that employs the technology. Users will be able to control software with touchless 3D input within an 8 cubic-foot range of the device. Here’s the full list of those PCs:
HP ENVY Recline 23 Beats
HP ENVY Recline 23 TouchSmart
HP ENVY Recline 27 TouchSmart
HP ENVY Touchsmart 23
HP ENVY Touchsmart 23 SE
HP Pavilion 23
HP Pavilion 23 TouchSmart
HP Pavilion 21 TouchSmart
HP ENVY 700
HP ENVY Phoenix 810
HP Pavilion 500
Along with the Leap Motion-enabled keyboard and pre-installed Leap Motion software, customers will get access to the Airspace app store as well as a handful of bundled apps.
Several of the HP models are available now, and the rest are coming soon.
