Leaked In-Game Footage: Duke Nukem Forever

This morning  at the PAX East show in Boston, MA -- though slightly forbidden, we were able to steal some video footage of the infamous and forever anticipated Duke Nukem Forever.  Finally set to release in May 2011, the folllowing is early in-game footage of actual game play.  Ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum ("and yeah, he's all outta gum"), Duke is actually looking pretty slick and the baddies, well, they're looking bad, as you'd expect...




2K Games was allowing controlled 20 minute gaming sessions for show attendees.  Game play itself was a hoot as you'd expect, with lots of ridiculous weapons that handily made mince meat out of alien scum.  And so it seems, the game is very real and nearly ready for prime time.

I'll play it for the pop-culture value, but it looks like a game you would play once and then throw away.

It'll sell well if only for the fact that it was doomed to be vaporware and the brand value of Duke Nukem games. But it doesn't look as polish as you would expect a 13+ year old game to be.

Played the first one many a night on the old Packard Bell with my 14in monitor. I still play it some on the XBox360 along with Doom. I will have this one as soon as it comes out. "Damn I look good"
