That's progress,........and we'll need new motherboards for the replacements? |
|
Sad my current chip is being scrapped lol. *Kiss them goodbye* |

The i7-875k is a good chip. Too bad to see it go, but Sandy(and soon Ivy with it's updated graphics) already blew it out of the water. LGA2011 boards should be good with Ivy. |
I have to agree, once the LGA 2011 versions of Ivy Bridge gets released, people will be in overclocking heaven. And yes realneil, that is progress. |
I don't mind progress, I embrace it normally. But being forced into buying a new motherboard to go with every new chip that comes out is getting a little tedious. Especially when the motherboards clock in at $300.00 bucks a pop, or more. I saw a few enthusiast motherboards that cost a little over $500.00 yesterday. They're coming out with lots of new ~PC-Bling~ for us, but they're ripping our balls out through our wallets to get it,............. |

Woah... Intel was still producing those old chips? Who was buying them? |
