Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 Performance Preview

This morning we have a performance preview of Intel's soon to be released Core 2 Extreme QX9770 quad-core processor. Right on the heels of AMD's Phenom launch, Intel is seemingly going for the proverbial jugular. At 3.2GHz and a blazing 1600MHz front side bus, the new high-end Core 2 Extreme chip should serve up a healthy shot of performance above and beyond what we've already seen from Intel's Yorkfield core.
