Oh yes!!! Thanks HotHardware! This is amazing... thanks again. Also many thanks to Diamond and Smooth Creations. The Penguins were eliminated a few hours ago... but this helps ease the pain of hockey defeat. Memorial Day may be over, but yes it's still important to remember both our current troops and veterans for their sacrifices. This case will serve as a reminder for me. An all AMD powered system just like I got now, heck yeah baby. I will gladly bench it and post results along with pictures, even if my photography is shoddy at best. And congrats to Squid and FSeven for the CPU's! You guys earned them. |

Never! Kamrooz should have stayed... but oh well. I will, I know that. In the past I have left for long periods of time due to lack of PC hardware enthusiasm. But last December I got back into it when I was asked to help build a system for a friend and I have been hooked ever since (I even upgraded my video card that month). And HotHardware is my place of choice for PC info. So I'm here for good, no worries. Winning the contest is more reason than ever to stick around. |

I been thinkin about the whole Kam leavin thing & came to the conclusion that after posting like a madman initially, he got burned out. I'm almost certain that we'll hear from him again... it may end up being a long hiatus, but he'll be back. If not... his loss. My enthusiasm dies down at times too, but always ends up peaking again when: A) new hardware drops and B) I can actually afford said hardware! lol |

Wow thanks! Would it be okay if I request that you pick a new runner up for my spot? Reason being, my PC is a socket 939 and I'm sure the new processor is NOT a socket 939. With my wife and I starting a family soon and such, I can't afford to purchase a new motherboard, the RAM that would need to go with it, new video card (still using X800XT AGP...I'm sure a newer motherboard wouldn't have a PCIE slot) etc. so the processor would essentially just be collecting dust. I'm sure someone else could get much better use out of it than me. Thanks again though. I've never won anything and it's a nice feeling. And congrats to Crisis. That's a helluva rig! |

Congrats to all the winners, oh and to fseven lol many are still on the 939 boat I',m still running my X2 4400+ as well (oh and as far as children/family thats one of my little girls in my icon). Looks like they were offering to send you a 939 chip to accommodate. Mega congrats 2 Crysis not only is it an awesome system I think it looks spectacular as well. Oh what did we end up giving in total for the sweepstakes ?????? |

Its great me and Fseven won processors, but its funny how neither of us have a capable mobo, lol. But this has now helped me to get my footing and get a capable board and such |

yep. I ordered mobo,ram, gfx card, and other stuff from newegg should come in tomoz. I also needed a new power switch because im using an older case. I cant afford a new case right now. |

It was sent by Smooth Creations. Your CPU was just by HH I'm guessing. Anyway, I'm having a problem. I can't get it to post. It turns on, fans spinning, but no display. I've tried both video cards, and even my old Radeon 3850. None give a display.

hmm ouchies... xfire me @ gasstronamicle and i can walk you through some stuff... most important is, do you hear any beeps? if so how many? and can you describe them

No beeps heard. I don't think there's a bios speaker. The motherboard has FF on it lit up in little letters. Know what this means? I've tried dif ram combos, unplugging all drives, resetting CMOS. Nothing yet.

Yeah I've tried messing around with the jumpers. I just built the computer on static bags, to ensure no shorting. Only components are Mobo, RAM, Video Card, PSU (plugged into 24pin, 8pin, gpu), and the cpu + heatsink and fan + fan plugged into mobo. Still not posting. I'll try a little more with the jumpers. |
