Earlier this week, Lenovo revealed a handful of new offerings. Today, we got a chance to see all of Lenovo’s latest products in person. Lenovo’s new IdeaPad U1 Hybrid with LePad Slate definitely had us excited earlier in the week, and it’s looking good in person too. This 2-in-1 device combines a slate with a Snapdragon processor and Android with a keyboard base and full Windows 7 functionality. The slate portion of the U1 Hybrid has a 10.1-inch panel and feels good in your hand. The base unit turns the slate into a laptop of sorts.
Although we won’t see the IdeaPad U1 for a little while here in the States, we’re definitely anxious for this baby to hit the market. China pricing for the U1 Hybrid is right around $1300, and it sounds like it will be about the same when it hits our shores.
Lenovo also gave us a look at the new Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 and RapidDrive technology which delivers quick start-up and shutdown performance as well as other optimization features. Watching the IdeaPad Y570 boot in less than 10 seconds was definitely impressive.
Finally, Lenovo’s new ThinkPad Edge notebooks are looking sharp, with their matte finish, metal accents, and power under the hood.
