You gotta love the smell of fresh, new technology! |
Love it, very nice setup with nnew intel hardware goodness, Blueray etc. I never win, but I might as well try. |
One of the things I have always liked about HH is the ability to do something of this nature. The thing I think that really separates HH from many sites is this ability. My reasoning on this is if the manufacturers value HH's opinion, not to mention user base, and HH's general outlook and practices enough to join in with them and do something of this nature, makes HH a valuable place in my eyes. This is because when they have the trust of OEM's and Vendors/developers of this nature we get fresh off the grittle information. When information is now a trade able commodity that is both valuable and important on many sides. So huge props to HH for maintaining this respect, outlooks, and for being on the cutting edge in many senses. |
Only two days left until some lucky individual wins this awesome system. Of course I wish it to be me, as my current need as well as financial situation could definitely use it. Who knows we all would love to have an awesome system like this. Just two days till HH our awesome forum graces someone with this beauty of a system. |
Good luck everyone, someone will win this beast in the next 36 hours. Grats to whoever wins it this beast of a package is going to grant several years of good service for one of us. |
Good luck to all of you out there. This is pretty exciting and the anticipation is thick enough to cut with a knife! Yow! This comes with Vista And an Upgrade to Windows 7 too! I reread it again and found more information that never sank in the first few times,.............sigh! I wonder if they'll leave the benchmarking software on it too? |
So tomorrow somebody here wins the computer system,.....and the rest of us will have our hopes dashed allot like THIS double impact on the Moon's surface. |
Looks like another awesome giveaway! The blu ray drive is a nice addition. |
Cool! I love that case, actually. Anything to make nice looking cases without those silly doors covering the drive bays. The system itself is nothing to sneeze at, either! Good luck to all! Might I also encourage you to email the winners this time, rather than just alerting them via front page posts :P |
Ummm Lev, we ALWAYS email the winners and also post to the page. Pass some of that stuff you're smoking buddy! :D |
I'm just being a pest because I never noticed I was supposed to be in on the UT3 tournament several months back. Didn't notice till afterwards, and then couldn't find any messages about it in my inbox (could have been hotmails asinine junk mail filter, which regularly removes things I want). It wouldn't have mattered anyway, though, since I was horribly busy at work that whole month and wasn't checking my personal email! |

Pass some of that stuff you're smoking buddy! :D What Dave said. I got a very nice email when they gave me that laptop HD (which I have yet to format for my friend-- blush). Which means that if I enter, and win, there's going to be talk of a fix. Oh well! That rig sounds like the one I designed myself-- though I cheaped out on a few things, no Blu-Ray and an 860. I love the CyberPowerPC.com configurator... it's like playing a computer game where the result is a computer! |
Very Sexy! It will be a real treat for who ever wins it.... |
Even though Canadians are responsible for the duties/taxes, it's still good to see that they have a chance to enter for a wonderful prize. In fact, from my visits to this site in the past couple of years, Hothardware always manages to give away something big. :P |
Wish i could sat the same for the UK:(
great looking rig! |
Same here for me. Anyway, a great PC is up for grabs. Good Luck to everyone! EDIT: Will you guys post up any pics of the system? It's just that the last one was so tidy (courtesy of Marco's Skillz! |

Freakin awesome giveaway again guys. Hopefully I can manage to be more active with my crazy schedule this time of year. Good luck to everyone. |
Another awesome system - thanks for the new promotion! |
this system is amazing, i built my computer one month before the i7s came out, i thought they were gonna be too expensive for my budget |
Everything's upgraded. Even the number of USB ports :P |
oooooohhhhh ahhhhhh nice!!! You guys are awesome! Always giving such cool stuff away!! I still haven't put my MB and CPU to good use yet :-x BUT I have a plan for it! Muahahaha! HTPC/Media Server here I come! |
Good luck to all HH posters. |
What Motherboard is in this monster? |
Hmmm... good question! I'll ask. |
I am actually looking for components right now to build a new system for a friend. He is a photographer, and needs a new system very badly. So I would like to know what MB you guys are using, as I have seen a Lotta pre-release reviews of components on this test bed. However; I would like to see a full review of processor, MB, memory etc, and have results based more towards photo work (not video processing) straight Photoshop/Gimp performance. |
You gotta love the smell of fresh, new technology! |
Anything to make nice looking cases without those silly doors covering the drive bays. The system itself is nothing to sneeze at, either! Good luck to all! |
Man that would be a nice addition to my other two foliding machines. That is a nice computer and someone will be lucky to win it. Good luck everyone |
wow, what an amazing prize. |
Looks like this giveaway is getting a good bit of attention fast. Hope to see some of you new comers stick around. |
When is this contest over anyway. I see a lotta new faces on this one. Hopefully some if you stick around afterwards. |
Thanks for even offering such a prize. In times like these, most of us have to watch how we spend our money and such a system may be out of our reach. Thanks again. |
Jeepers! Does it come with that "New Computer Smell??" |
Original or Smokey Barbeque? |
Well..the smokey barbeque smell comes after one step too many on the overclock. (Which is totally unnecessary for this system, at least for me) |
@Blazer, rapid1: I wondered that myself. So I did a little detective work. It was made easier since I only had to consider the boards offered by CyberPowerPC.com on their configurator. The slot configuration (three PCIe x 16, two PCIe x 1, and two PCI) was a big clue; a lot of boards have two PEG slots, more or fewer short slots, an x 4 slot, etc. So it's down to
The Intel and GigaByte have the wrong number of PS/2 ports on the back (zero and one respectively). And there I stalled. The Asus boards (couldn't find pictures) probably have the same back panel configurations. So, you're getting a mid- to high-end Asus board, which isn't anything to sneeze at. I'd guess that the Deluxe model is in the package, because the bundle doesn't skimp on anything else; good lord, the graphics card and CPU alone equal the budget for my next system! I don't know whether I should give away estimated prices, so I won't; but you can go to the system builders' websites, play around, and see what you get. |
Thanks for the detective work, Clem. Yes, I thought it had an Asus P7P motherboard in it, There are allot of good reviews on all 4 motherboards you mentioned. |
Yeah; I think I am going to go with the Gigabyte board. I really don't care about PS2 ports anyway, I like USB keyboards/mice. The top en Gigabyte one also has two giga lan ports, and more PCI express than I will use on this anyway. He (the person who wants me to build him a photo editing PC) is mainly concerned with Photoshop, GIMP and still image manipulation. So 2 video cards is not going to help much with that (he does not game). I am thinking of either getting one of the 2GB 4870 ATI cards, or the 4890 cards. |
When I got my system from HH I realized that the mobo had no PS2 ports. I finally got a decent keyboard though
Edit: Glad to see you good and health Enter. I leave from time to time to when busy, but when it comes time for a upgrade to the rig I always come back here where I know I will get solid info and good friends. |
Hahah! Clem, I love the detective work here! You sleuth! We've also asked for a formal response on this question but our Intel contact is off for a day or two. Stay tuned. :) |
O.o I must admit, it kind of amazes me that this is being givenaway. Good luck everyone! |
You know I have to put that case on my list for possibilities for my next build it is friggin sweet. |
Very nice build. Good luck to all! I'm with Rapid...I never win but atleast I try! :) Edit: Can Mods actually win these prizes? Been a Mod for a while now and never stopped to ask the question. :) Thanks guys! |
ENTER!!!!!!! |
The return of Enter... not to throw this thread too off topic but what are you up to? I'm sure you can win this killer rig if you throw your weight around here some more. |
