The University of California has struck a deal with Google in which Google will scan several million of the 34 million titles that UC has in its libraries. UC is just the latest addition to the vast amount of support Google has obtained for its ambitious "Google Books" project. High profile schools and libraries such as Stanford, Harvard, Oxford, the University of Michigan, and the New York Public Library are already on board, and there's a good chance we'll see more in the future.
