Google Adds Push Gmail Support To Google Sync

Google Sync has enabled many users to synchronize their Gmail Contacts and Google Calendar with their iPhone, Windows Mobile, and S60 devices. Although many people are pleased with Google Sync, there's one thing that has been missing until now: support for Gmail.

Today, Google added Gmail support to Google Sync. As a result of this new feature, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Windows Mobile device users will now be able to enjoy push email. With an over-the-air, always-on connection, you'll know your inbox is up to date, no matter where you are or what you're doing. Because Sync works with your phone's native email application, you won't need any additional software.

For users who prefer the ultimate control, or who simply don't want to synchronize all three components, Google Sync lets you sync just your Contacts, Calendar, or Gmail, or any combination of the three.

To test drive Google Sync for yourself, visit m.google.com/sync from your computer. If you're already a Google Sync user, Google provides instructions on how to enable Gmail sync here.

I don't have reliable data service in my area. As such, I don't use data telephony services and don't use Google Sync. But I had to write something here or else it would appear that I don't really want to win that really bitchin' PC that you guys are giving away soon.

So I posted.

Forgive me,..........
