Genius Adds Gila 12-Button Professional Gaming Mouse To GX Gaming Series

Genius announced the new Gila professional gaming mouse to its GX Gaming Series. This professional 12-button MMO/RTS gaming mouse can be customized to fit your needs. You can make on-the-fly dpi changes from 200 to 8200, easily switching among five different previously assigned dpi levels directly from the mouse. Gila features a 1ms response time.

The weight of the Gila mouse can also be tailored to your liking by adding up to six of the included 4.5 gram weights. Gila features three LED backlights that can be independently adjusted to display different levels of brightness and colors.

You can create up to 72 macros using the Scorpion UI. The macros can be saved to the Gila's onboard memory. Thanks to this onboard memory and the Gila's CPU, the macros are available even when games use macro-blocks.  The GX Gaming Series Gila is available for $99.99.

Is it just me or do they have minimal presence in the US? I hadn't heard of them, so I started checking around. I finally found an article that linked the description to their main page, and found their distributors are wal-mart, amazon, barnes & noble, and sears. Seriously? Barnes & Noble?

Not so sure about the idea of putting headlights on a gaming mouse or any mouse for that matter. I guess if your mouse pad has fog on it, you can find your way around?

Agreed on that. Not sure there is any functional purpose to the headlight feature but I'm sure it looks cool. Other than that it's relatively well designed, ergonomically.
