Dell S2330MX Ultra Slim Display Makes Other LCDs Feel Pudgy

Dell's new S2330MX Ultra Slim monitor might do for your current LCD what your first LCD did for your CRT monitor: make it look fat by comparison. That's because the S2330MX is Dell's slimmest monitor yet with a profile that measures a scant 0.3 inches, which is thinner than many smartphones. Let that last bit sink in for a moment.

Dell actually let the cat out of the bag yesterday in a YouTube video pre-announcing the display (see below), but stopped short of giving viewers the full skinny (see what we did there?), including price. Today's a new day, the S2330MX has a product page, and we have the details.

The S2330MX is a 23-inch LED backlit LCD display that measures 21.74 x 7.41 x 16.15 (W x D x H) inches and weighs 8.29 pounds (with stand and cable). It's a Full HD (1920x1080) display with a 0.265mm pixel pitch, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 2ms gray-to-gray response time (with overdrive), and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio (8,000,000:1 dynamic).

Connectivity options consist of an analog connector and a DVI-D connector with HDCP support, and Dell also includes an HDMI adapter, giving the S2330MX a fair amount of flexibility in hooking up with your electronic gear. If that all sounds like a winning combination, you can grab one off of Dell's website for $250.
