Crowd-Sourcing The Ideal Notebook at WePC.com

It is not often that end users have the ability to offer feedback and direction to a large manufacturer regarding future product development, but that's exactly what's going on over at the WePC project website. If you're unfamiliar with the WePC project, it's a joint venture between Asus and Intel in which both companies are looking for input from members of the technology press and blogging world, and YOU. This quote from the WePC site does a great job of summarizing the projects goal...

"Imagine your perfect PC. Now imagine top engineers and innovators working around the clock to make that Dream PC a reality. That's the dream WePC.com is all about.

ASUS and Intel have created WePC.com, a place where users like you come together to share ideas, images and inspiration about your ideal PC. But what if it's not just talk. Your designs, feature ideas and community feedback will be evaluated by ASUS and could influence the blueprint for an actual notebook PC built by ASUS with Intel inside."

We have been participating in the WePC project since its inception and want to get you involved in the conversation as well. A few of my recent posts are being featured on the site at the moment and I would really appreciate some feedback. My posts cover, or will cover, a wide range of topics, from performance to form factors...

In the posts, I've written about some of the things I'd like to see happen in the mobile space and have recommended some options and features. We hope after checking out the WePC site that you will do the same. If there's an innovative feature you'd like to see implemented on a future product, voice your opinion today, and you may be able to buy your ideal notebook tomorrow.
