"I was about to give corsair a "C'mon Son", but its 4 8GB Quad Channel modules rated at 1866 and 1.5V. Still freaking expensive, but its better then the price they had going for the Limited Edition 1.5V 8GB Dominator GT Kit at $499. I hope that 4GB Quad Channel Modules don't come a hefty price."

Yes, and the prices WILL come down in time. Intel's Quad channel boards are going to be out early next year, right?

It's still far cheaper to buy 2-dual channel kits and toss them together. Big Smile

Still some quality [geek porn] time well spent looking at some 2 @8GB kits on Corsair 's site with mem  pricing dropping just a tad more ..Be interesting to see what some of the street prices will be with the Dominator line-up [some of the blues] in about 3-6 months for some of us regular 'mutts'

Why on earth would Intel launch this platform so close to the Bulldozer launch? What are they ~thinking?~Smile

Wow, love Corsair memory. This kit is bound to be amazing... Totally going to have to see how things play out with this memory and the quad core boards.

Only the real, real rich can afford this. Again, speed, voltage and the size of the chips matter in the pricing of the memory.

Doesn't matter, someone with tons of money on hand will likely but a kit, strip out all of the components and LN-2 overclock it to the max!

I agree with you. The price is outrageous, but as you said, the guys with crap-loads of money will snap them right up.

I'm already struggling to find something to do with 24GB of ram. Most of the time I'm running it split to 12GB RAM and a 12GB RAM Drive.
