Box.com Offering 50GB of Online Storage Free, For Life

There are plenty of cloud storage options available today. While most services offer some amount of free storage, not all of them offer enough free space to make it worth your time to sign up. Right now, Box.com is offering 50GB of free storage for life. As part of this offer from Dell and Box.com, you can offer the same amount of storage to coworkers or friends.

Box offers secure content sharing and collaboration. You can send individual files or entire folders to friends, family, or coworkers by emailing a link. Box also lets you turn a folder into an online workspace that lets you edit projects, assign and manage tasks, and much more. Recognizing that people work on a number of different devices, Box.com offers mobile apps that let you access your content on the go.

While 50GB will be adequate for many users, Box.com also offers paid accounts. The Business tier costs $15 per user per month and offers up to 1,000GB of storage with a file size limit of 2GB. With the Enterprise tier, you'll get unlimited storage and a file size limit of 5GB. Additional benefits are available with both types of accounts, including the ability to sync desktop files, full-text search, version history, and more.

That's a pretty good deal. The file size limits are a bit of a downer though.

I love me some consumer-level cloud storage, and 50GB is nice, but...really, I need more like 2TB...

Combine it with Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon, SkyDrive, JustCloud, MiMedia, Spideroak, SugarSync  and any other cloud providers who offer free storage. I doubt you will get to a terrabyte but it might bring you to 100+ gigs.
