Best Buy Bundles Free Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Samsung 3D TVs

With Hewlett Packard scrapping plans to take over the mobile world with its webOS TouchPad (and other devices), the tablet market just became a little less crowded, and your list of potential slates a little shorter. And if you're now stuck deciding between Apple's iPad 2 and Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1, maybe Best Buy's upcoming promotion will help.

Starting Sunday, August 21 and running through Saturday, August 27, Best Buy is including a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 device with select Samsung HDTVs. Be prepared to go big or go home empty handed, because the select models in question are a 46-inch LED 1080p Smart 3D HDTV for $1,500 and a 55-inch Samsung TV with a 3D Starter Kit for $2,000. That's all the details Best Buy provides, but based on the price points, it appears the deal applies to the UN46D6900W and UN55D6900 models, though don't take that as being set in stone.

In any event, the free Galaxy Tab 10.1 device in question is the 16GB Wi-Fi version that normally sells for $500. That's a heck of a deal if you're in need of a 3D TV. Be sure to check out our review of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 here.

Is BB just trying to unload these tablets before Samsung is forced to recall them... This seems like an odd special considering that the margin on the sale of a TV is really small.

So they give you the tablet with a $1500 or $2000 TV? OK.. Call me when they starting gving them away with $700+ TVs as well.

Instead of going big with Samsung’s 3D HDTV, I will rather go home empty handed or look for LG 3D HDTV which is now popular.
