Hmm; I would think that the way CHINA backs there technology that it may move kind of fast. at least in China. I am sure some of there technology is available elsewhere but why. I mean the American/European standards equipment is faster, more efficient, and operates in a different sphere in general. That is on both AMD and INTEL's side. The thing that so confuses me on this is that many, many things in a computer is made to an exclusivity point in China, and china cannot compete with any of it based on the own standards. It just makes no sense! Almost everything APPLE makes in made in China or a territory within there republic, not to mention almost any other manufacturer. Yes; a lot is made in Korea (on the sane side of the island) and of course Taiwan etc. The whole thing just makes no sense in the end as all of it except straight manufacturing or support is made in there country and bought by there people as well, but they can match the standard, HOW? Sorry for the run on the whole thing is just confusing really. It is kind of like the DDR4 thing! Why make DDR4 when DDR5 is developed, many things in DDR4 are based on it but substandard to the DDR5 spec in speed, energy usage, and heat expulsion, but it is going into production and DDR5 which it is even based on is not. |

I think it would be a mistake to underestimate China's capacity, not merely in manufacturing, but also with regard to innovation and creativity. The notion that Chinese can only copy, not innovate and create - a similar notion about the Japanese was current in Europe and North America until some three decades ago - is false, as future developments will surely show.... The technology they manufacture on internal studies is generally at least 2 generations behind the norm. Where as the equipment they manufacture for American, European, and Japanese companies is not. That seems to suggest to me that what I said is at least somewhat true. I am not saying underestimate I am saying I don't understand it as it makes no rational sense. |
