Aspire One Happy 2 Netbook Line Happily Comes to America

Happy, happy, joy, joy! While calling a notebook "Happy" may seem odd, there's no way you can say it without smiling. Just try. Acer's Aspire One Happy line of netbooks have already shipped in Europe, but now people in the U.S. will be getting the good vibes as well. The Aspire One Happy 2, a series of stylish netbooks in four pastel colors, is being brought to the U.S. for the first time.

Like its predecessors, the streamlined and ultra-compact 10.1-inch netbooks are light and portable enough to tote anywhere and come packed with powerful features and performance to boost productivity. Utilizing the latest Intel dual-core technology for netbooks, the Acer Aspire One Happy 2 series consumes less power, allowing users to stay mobile longer with better battery life. The netbook also provides the computing performance needed to tackle Office applications, stay in touch with social networks and enjoy web-based video.

Specs wise, these will feature an Atom N570 dual-core CPU, 10.1" LED-backlit display, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, a 0.3MP webcam, built-in digital mic, 1GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB HDD, Windows 7 Starter and a rather low price tag of just $269.99. For that sum, you might as well pick up one as a backup, right?

Well I checked the Acer web site and these are the only colors.....................Call me old fashion but I don't do pastels. Everything else on the specs look great

These netbooks are pretty nice and they make me happy as well, however I was betrayed by skittles so we have a love-hate relationship right now.

Now that I think about it though the cpu is housed underneath the keyboard for netbooks and directly inside a tablet. If there was a detachable netbook/tablet that was able to bridge two processors for extra processing power somehow I would get really interested in purchasing something like that.

Nothing really new with these netbooks simply the pastel colors and the nice price point. While I agree they make me happy :)
