10 billion apps is nothing. I've probably downloaded 10 billion security patches for Windows all by myself. |

$10,000 i tunes card.... Perhaps he'd contribute to the 11'th billion app sale. But 10 billion is no easy feat.... its a HUGE number. Regardless of how much i hate apple.... the music industry should learn something from here and start evolving. Its all these OWG's (old white guys) in the music industry who still cant understand that money can be made with something intangible, like, a series of 1's and 0's. |

** i shouldnt say hate apple.... Dislike apple is more like it... or, not a fan of apple. |

You can hate them if you want to. They could care less,........ But their business model is absolutely sound. Steve's a Fart Smeller,...uh, I mean a Smart Feller. They make a crap-load of money because of groundbreaking ideas or their own peculiar application of mediocre ideas that people seem to like. It doesn't matter how they get the cash as long as they do it. |

hahahah.... "a fart smeller" I ACTUALLY read that as Smart Feller!! the first time and then i saw the "uh, I mean a Smart Feller" Well, i agree that some of their products are ground breaking, But, almost 3/4ths of their stuff is rebranded with added layers of simplicity (facetime, iphone/mp3 player combo, network music/ sharing, appleTV, plus tons more i cant think of) .... and you know what, its great. I'm actually glad apple exists and makes a ton of money. It makes the other companies work even harder to come out with better products at lower prizes. I'm not complaining one bit. If the iphone never came out, i'd still be, most likely using a Symbian OS powered phone, probably from Nokia as Motorola would not have created the Milestone. |
