Let's hope the precedence of the iPhone jailbreak will be good for the PS3 jailbreak. People should be able to do whatever they like with the devices they buy, but expect no support from the companies when they break them.

I've been following HH for years using RSS but never sign up.

And I purposely sign up today just to protest against this.

I'm not a market analyst, but some say it's not gonna be a big deal, tho in history I've seen these kind of boycott do affect the targeted company.

Yes, I work with Sony. A low level TV software engineer with just barely $1k salary to feed my family.

These guys are angry with the PS3 jailbreak stuff but wanna go full force with the whole company?

If their market do get affected, whose gonna get kicked first? Low level engineers and factory operators.

I don't know what really happening up there (management), and I'm just here sitting reading design spec request and work on the coding at my desk for 8 hours trying to do my best to get better and gain better for my family and Anonymous just wanna ruin everything?!!

Even I can't get access to sensitive codes in the Sony TV software that I work for.

If you wanna do anything with your device, go ahead but keep it with you. Don't spread it around when you know that it will someday hit the legal/license issue and then pissed you off and lead to these kinda nonsense which directly hurt others.

Im sorry to hear that fiddlesticks, but thats like saying Sony shouldn't be held responsible for their attempts at manipulation and interfering with a buyer's right.

Unfairness, or Corruption should be brought to justice, and it may impact the innocent like you in some way or another but honestly this particular instance shouldn't get to that scale

NO I don't think this will hurt SONY in any reason but the one of public relations, which is what Anonymous is aiming for. Did this not all start when people wanted to run Linux on there Playstation? How does that hurt Sony in any way, if you look at it it would seem more would buy a Playstation as a mini computer. If I could run Linux on my Playstation, and I could upgrade the hard drive my self which we know can be done with no consequence other than a larger hard drive. Yes it may or may not void the warranty if you sent it into Sony for Warranted service minus the original hard drive, but that would be your stupidity. Anyway I fully support this as it obviously affects the companies image in a PR way.
