Adobe CS3 Pricing Leaked?
As with any leaks of information from secret sources, take this with a grain of salt until you hear it from the source. That being said, ThinkSecret does have a very good track record for this kind of information, so it's possible this is at least very close to current plans. Read on:
"Adobe plans to offer six bundles with various Creative Suite 3 applications: CS3 Web Standard, CS3 Web Premium, CS3 Design Standard, CS3 Design Premium, CS3 Production Premium, and the CS3 Master Collection.
The least expensive of the six will be the CS3 Web Standard bundle, which will retail for $999 and includes Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, and Contribute CS3.
For an additional $600, customers can purchase the $1,599 CS3 Web Premium package, which includes a copy of Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, and Acrobat 8.0 Professional.
The CS3 Design Standard package will sell for $1,199 and includes Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, InDesign CS3, and Acrobat 8.0 Professional, while the $1,799 CS3 Design Premium bundle adds Flash CS3 Professional and Dreamweaver CS3.
Owners of any previous Creative Suite or Macromedia Studio bundle will be able to upgrade to CS3 Design Standard for $399 or Design Premium for $599."
