Awesome job. It is amazing to me how a free product can beat the pants off of paid products such as Symantec and Mcafee. |

Yeah; Avast has always been better, I did have some issues with it, and I currently do not use it for myself or clients. I started having a couple small business's ask me about MS Security Essentials which I installed at there request. I use it as well for now at home. I change around pretty regularly though. I also use CIS or a while and I use SuperantiSpyware as well as Spybot for scans and spyware - adware removal. |

I'd like to see a comparison of MSSE since MS has been working pretty hard against malware themselves lately. |

Microsoft the difference is they are focused eniterely on the money. So daily updates that avast has isnt likely. Plus microsoft bloating is just their natural state, Its how they make programs now. Also if code cant be entirely copyrighted they wont use it. Example if someone has already come out with any version shareware freeware with a any fragment of code that works. They will ditch it cause it cant be entirely theirs. Which I think is a problem, I do believe in protecting property but if you right code for tessellation implementation in your game. Yes copyright the engine but I only think their is so many ways to code tessellation into a game and do it correctly. Its like the wheel while yes a good idea theres only so many ways to travel across land. And if you invented I could see copyrighting particular designs such as 3/4 inch thick rubber with a steal weave of 1/8 thick steel strands and have a v tread design thats 1/2 inch tall. But to copyright the wheel altogether would monopolize car industry. Leaving customers with subpar cars and services and high prices. Theirs a reason why government has authority to break up monopoly's. |

Love Avast, had it for a few years now and never had a problem with it over 3 different computers being used by three different tech level people. I will never go back to paying for the bloated and garbage anti virus software that is out there. |

Have used AVAST for many years without problems. The free part is golden. I have too many PC's here to consider paying for licenses for all of them. I have MSSE installed on two machines and they have had no issues either. AVAST ~does~ publish many more updates than Microsoft does, sometimes as many as three per day. AVAST is getting to be much more commercial these days, and I wonder just how long they'll continue to offer us the free version. I'm hoping that it continues for a long time. |

AVAST free antivirus software is my favorite antivirus program. I have paid for services from Norton and cancelled and uninstalled because they were not as good or reliable. I highly recommend installing AVAST on a system before going online for anything else - trojans, worms, and malware are nasty buggers and hard to extierminate once they've infiltrated a harddrive. |

Sweet free software that gets a better or on par score with more expensive services is a win for everybody who uses it and the company. Definitely great publicity. It makes me want to download it. |
