ATI Tech Day 2006

Tech ARP has posted their coverage from ATI's Tech Day 2006 recently in Singapore. The main focus of the event was to officially launch three new GPU's including the new flagship Radeon X1950 XTX we reviewed here at Hot Hardware. Much like an Editor's Day, the event also made some key technical resources available to the press including David Wang who is the Senior Director of Discrete Graphics Engineering. Overall, it appears as though the folks at Tech ARP were as equally impressed as Marco was with ATI's latest hardware as they had nothing but glowing remarks to conclude the article.

The new Radeon X1950 XTX is not only the first graphics card to feature the new GDDR4 memory, but thanks to it, it is also the first card to reach 1GHz in memory speed and attain an astounding memory bandwidth of 64GB/s! If their numbers are anything to go by, the Radeon X1950 XTX is also the fastest card in the market, faster than even the dual GPU NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 card. Such a card cannot go unanswered.
