Those who are browsing through Dell's website will find that the company has just released a new notebook which is using an AMD mobile processor. Dubbed the Inspiron 1501, the notebook platform utilizes a 15.4" WXGA display and incorporates AMD's Turion 64 and Turion 64 X2 mobile processors along with ATI's Radeon Xpress 1150 IGP chipset. Looking at the configurator, you can buy this notebook for as little as $549 with a Mobile AMD Sempron 3500+ processor. Should you want an AMD Turion64 processor, prices start as low as $704. Although this is the first AMD-based notebook from Dell, it seems safe to assume that this certainly won't be the last.
