65nm AMD Processors Next Month?

According to a report on DigiTimes, AMD is planning to launch some new Athlon 64 X2 processors on December 5 that are built using the company's 65nm process node. The report also states that AMD is making the move to 65nm sooner, rather than later, to satisfy the additional demand brought on by Dell now selling systems with AMD processors.

"The report said AMD will introduce its new dual-core Athlon 64 X2 CPU (codenamed Brisbane) on December 5. The reason behind the launch, which is called earlier-than-expected, is said Dell's considerable consumption of AMD CPUs that caused the CPU shortage at the clone market."
