NVIDIA's Tegra Note 7 Updated to Android 4.3, Adding New Features and Capabilities

If you splurged on a Tegra Note 7 from any one of NVIDIA's partners who managed to build one, you're in luck. As a post-Christmas gift to all those who ordered, NVIDIA has upgrade the Note 7's platform today with an over-the-air software snippet. The new build takes the Note 7 to Android 4.3, adding a number of useful features and capabilities as well.


Tehre's support for left-handed users, improvements in overall response times, and DirectStylus support for removal and insertion dialogs in the notification bar. Moreover, the Note 7's camera now boasts an always-on HDR mode, not to mention video stabilization for "shake-free video." Plu,s a number of more minor camera tweaks have been made.

Lastly, the company tossed in a few "security and bug fixes" to go along with the ability to transfer app and data files from internal memory to an external microSD card. We'll be updating our review unit to test out the new build, so keep an eye out for that piece soon.
