MOGA’s Second-Gen Mobile Game Controllers Support Android, Windows Phone 8
No, it’s not challenging devices like the Razer Edge, NVIDIA Project SHIELD, or even the intriguing Wikipad, but MOGA is angling for the mobile gaming hardware market with its mobile game controllers.
The company announced the second generation of its controllers with the MOGA Power series, which succeed the MOGA Pocket and MOGA Pro controllers. The latest pair feature dual analog joysticks, D-pad, four control buttons, right and left bumpers, and more, and the controller will actually charge the connected mobile device while users are playing, which delivers much longer gametime.
The Pivot app gives users access to MOGA’s library of 100 or so games, and the controllers support multiplayer gaming on a single screen and feature an improved Bluetooth radio. The “S.M.R.T. Lock” arm of the controller keeps devices snug and secure while gaming.
MOGA’s controllers support Android starting way back at version 2.3, and they also work with Windows Phone 8 devices. The smaller MOGA controller is $39.99, while the larger MOGA Pro will run you $49.99.
