Samsung Galaxy Note III Leaked, Galaxy Tab 3 Announced

The hits from Samsung just keep on coming. With the ink barely dry on press releases announcing the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S4, we already have leaks concerning the Galaxy Note III.

A Chinese website leaked the image of a (very greasy-looking) alleged Samsung Galaxy Note III, which boasts a large 5.9-inch (1080p) display, Samsung Exynos 5410 SoC (quad core, 2.0GHz A15 and quad core, 1.2GHz A7), 3GB of RAM (really?), 32GB of storage, and Android 4.2.2. Presumably, it will also include the S-Pen. The site pegs the release date as early as mid-June.

On the more official side, Samsung itself announced the company’s latest tablet, the Galaxy Tab 3. The 7-inch (1024x600) device running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean features enhanced grip capabilities to make it more secure in the hand and a thinner bezel than its Galaxy Tab 2 predecessor. Under the hood, there’s a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 3MP/1.3MP front- and rear cameras, 8GB or 16GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 64GB), and 1GB of RAM.

The device includes WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G capabilities and includes Samsung’s Apps, Hub, Kies, and ChatON services as well as standard Google features. The WiFi-only version is coming worldwide in May, with a 3G version soon to follow.
