Nokia Lumia 925 (Catwalk) Rumors Circulate, Possible Launch May 14

Nokia previously sent out invitations to a press event in London scheduled for May 14, 2013, telling recipients on the invitations that "The Nokia Lumia story continues." There's also a section of faded text that reads, "See what's next." Nokia's teaser led some to speculate that the big reveal will be for its rumored Catwalk smartphone, and according to a Chinese Windows Phone blog, that's exactly what it will be.

Catwalk is actually the codename for the device; it will be marketed and sold as the Lumia 925. Compared to its predecessor, the Lumia 920, the updated model will be thinner and lighter courtesy of its aluminum construction. It will also feature a xenon flash rather than dual LEDs.

Based on previous rumors, you can also expect the Lumia 925 to wield a 4.5-inch OLED display with a 1280x768 resolution, dual-core Quallcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and 8.7-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f2.0 aperture. Due to the unibody construction, the built-in battery will not be user replaceable.
