Motorola Aiming to Launch Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD in October
Images of the Razr HD recently leaked to the Web, and while it's not the prettiest looking smartphone, it should ascend to the top of Motorola's lineup as the company's new flagship handset. We weren't able to confirm any specs with our source, but we were told the Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD will sport the same feature-set, only the latter will ship with a bigger battery for longer battery life and will obviously be a little thicker as a result (though not by much, we're told). However, scuttlebutt from those in the know suggest a 720X1280 HD display, along with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor at 1.5GHz pushing the pixels.

Based on the leaked images at XDA Forum, Motorola's new phones will ride into town carrying Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.4) rather than Jelly Bean (Android 4.1). Stick around as more details slide in on the Razr's edge.

Why would anyone buy a phone with a subpar battery. Im so PISSED that you guys said their releasing a Razr Maxx HD. I really know im not going to buy the Razr HD now. I rather wait for the bigger battery or just get a SG3 just because Motorola is slackin on releasing their new phones. Disapointing. Just Make the phone the way they should have, With the Maxx battery. But instead release 2 model phones like they did with the current razrs one with a small battery then a couple months later with the 3300mh or larger battery just to bone the people that buy the Razr HD with the small battery. |

I hear ya but maybe some folks want the slimmest phone they can get, regardless of battery life? That's where the standard HD comes in, no? It's not much slimmer but still, it's slimmer and lighter. |

It is mentioned that they launch at the same time, so, it is upto you what you wanted to choose. There may a price difference between them like RAZR HD for 199 and RAZR MAXX HDfor 299... Realistic... |

I have the standard Droid Razr and the battery lasts me all day. I charge it at night while I am sleeping and it is ready for the next day. I don't need the Razr Maxx. |

You must not do a whole lot with it or you have limited data because I have the Razr Maxx and can easily go through my battery in a 12 hour period |

Its like releasing a patch..... why not just make a droid hd to begin with its like making the consumer buy the product and next thing you know an hd version is out. Why not just make aphone with a diffent name and hardware and more appeal to get the eyes of new consumers. Sorry motorola but idbrather get somthing else |
