"Sapphire making motherboards, what took them so long? I also liked the ASUS VW266H review, I have been looking for a quality 16:10 monitor for home use. One thing I like to add, is that I hate website that have no Table Of Content, thats really annoying. Anyways, good round-up."

there's nothing new about Sapphire making motherboards; they've been doing it for a number of years, they're just not as "mainstream" as others, such as ASUS, MSI, Asrock, etc.

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=2&psn=000102 gives Sapphire's full lineup of motherboards (from LGA775 to AMD APU)

Yeah the mobo looks good. I can see them in the future making more high end stuff.

That Alienware review just reinforced my belief that for hardcore gaming you are still going to need a desktop for high quality graphics and high frames per second. My old laptop had such a hard time playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion without overheating and I had to get a cooling pad so my hands were comfortable.

My friends used to always joke around that I could use my gaming laptop as heater during the colder months.

I am also on the lookout for some new speakers so after reading the not to good Logitech Z506 review I definitely need to look harder for all my best options. Surround gaming both visual and audio is how I want to play in the near future so 5.1 surround sound is going to be the minimum.

Sapphire finally making motherboards huh? Cool, wonder what kind of form factors they're going to work with. I tend to stick to micro atx because i like smaller towers, but it will be interesting to see how they perform in the future.

And of course the MX11 refresh...I wont lie, its a pretty laptop but it isnt cheap. Gaming performance isnt quite as good as i had expected, although this is probably one of the only gaming laptops that has good battery life. Good round up guys.

I am really digging that Silverstone TJ11 case.

LBowen 3 years ago

@Thunderbird That is a really nice case, roomy and flipped motherboard mounting for extra temperature control. The cooling job was really well done as well. A great case but the price tag of around $600 is a bit steep for me right now.
