A point worth mentioning about the 5670. Rob mentions this in his own review over at Techgage and he raised a very good point.

The 5670 is priced at $99, while the 5750 suggested retail price is $109. Now the 5750 actually sells for closer to $130 due to the limited supply, but when the dust settles, it will directly compete with the 5670.

On the flip side, the power and temperature ratings for the 5670 are quite impressive. I think it might become the most popular mobile video card option later this year.

Yeah, plus the AMD mobile on board GPU's seem to be doing pretty well as of late. The flip usage profile between a dedicated and on board video seems to be getting some steam to. That makes the most sense to me, but I don't think the general public understand the need for energy or performance profiles.

I'm guessing the 5670 would appeal to the more tech-savvy casual gamers. But you're right, the general public won't notice discriminate purely on energy basis.

Yeah... but where can I find a review of a 5670? LoL... Go go AMD marketing department!

Haha, I think it's also a lack of anything from Nvidia's front. Safe to say ATI has dominated the news the past few months with barely a peep from their rivals.

I personally don't think there are enough video card reviews, lol. As an experienced hardware user this is great as I can look at all the options. However; looking at this plethora of GPU's from the viewpoint of a common user, I would be absolutely bewildered.

The common user usually basis his decision on price when all else fails. I can see the 5670 (or the 5650), especially with its $100 tag, become the most popular performance option in desktops and laptops.

It'll be the mainstream GPU for those that don't want to think too hard about it. The 5450 will probably clock in at 25% of the 5670's performance and will be the popular budget option.

On top of that bewilderment factor this is common for every area of hardware these days. A general consumer would just be confused by all the hardware available and what to choose. Which of course I am sure just adds to the name brand market for computers in general.
