HH & AMD Economic Stimulus Sweepstakes Rankings

Over the weekend, we held the official Unreal Tournament 3 deathmatch for our AMD-sponsored Economic Stimulus Sweepstakes to determine which prize packages were distributed to the five lucky winners. We left a practice server up and running for the days leading up to the official match, so the winners could hone their skills. And when all was said and done, only a couple of kills separated the grand prize winner from the runners up.

Here's what the final scoreboard looked like at the end of the match:

  • Grand Prize Winner: Amdcrankitup (MethaneMS)
  • First Runner Up: Der Meister45
  • Second Runner Up: Nelsoncp21
  • Third Runner Up: Acarzt
  • Fourth Runner Up: Could Not Attend

We also recorded a FRAPS video of the final match. The video below is from my perspective, but you can get a feel for some of the frantic action that decided the winners' rankings.

It was definitely a fun time. We hope the winners enjoy their prize packages and want to thank AMD for making this contest possible.

It was a good time!! You guys should host monthly tournaments for small prizes like t-shirts, key-chains, junk around the office, etc. It was fun! I wanna game some more! :-D

 Heck I would like to watch and see if I could get my quardnation abilty back the video was great all of you look look like you were having a good it was wide open then all of a sudden mental/ methane went beserk WOW. He might have played yall and then when it got real he turned off his sleeper MODE!Cool

That looked like a bunch of fun. Echoed here; the correct name for server is ... ?

As for weekly tourneys, that would be cool but just for bragging rights and, perhaps standings on a weekly scoreboard, instead of swag.
