EVGA Reveals The EVGA SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified PSU
EVGA announced a new power supply in the form of the SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified. This PSU features SuperNOVA, a control and monitoring software that lets you monitor voltage, current drawn on each rail, power used, and efficiency. You can also use the software to change the fan profile and adjust the +12V rail. The SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified also has an Overclock Mode that increases the maximum power output up to 1650W. I don't really get the point of overclock mode personally.. why not just allow 1650W when a 230 VAC source is connected? Still, this PSU looks awesome. Is 16x 6+2pin PCIe right? That's enough for 8 cards by itself, not counting the 6 pins.. Confuse. |

The specs are pretty awesome themselves, but I actually like the 10 year warranty, and EVGA's EAR and step-up programs. Anyone that can really get good use out of this kind of hardware is going to put it through some heavy workload. Nice to see they are making sure the customer is going to be set for some time. And if they want in the future the next best thing, they can upgrade cheaper by trading in this one, I really, really like that part. More companies should do that. Although in my personal experience, I wouldn't need it, I keep older parts around as a just in case type thing. |

It'll power a great gaming rig and a 1000W microwave so you can nuke burritos while you frag n00bs. Kudos for the 10 Year Warranty, that's backing up your product big time, though in 10 years 250W will run a monster rig....

wow that things a beast but there's no way id take advantage of such a rebust power supply, heck im still using a 500W PSU and it runs my i5 3570K and a GTX570! As well as 2 case fans and 2 cpu fans! |
