Antivirus Pioneer John McAfee Creates 'The Brown List,' A Complaint Website For Average Joes
John's newest venture is called Brownlist, a website with the motto, "It's payback time." The idea is that average people who have been wronged in some way can log in, post their complaint, and see user-suggested solutions. Those solutions are voted on by site members to determine the best course of action.''
"This taps into anger in a positive way," John told Reuters in an interview before hopping on stage at Def Con. "Instead of getting angry and shooting at somebody on the highway, or yelling at your wife, you can log onto the site."
John intends to make money off this venture through subscription services to businesses, though he didn't provide details on how that will work. At present, he's on the hunt for investors to fund the operation. He's already found one, who invested $450,000 into starting up the website.
