Good evening friends, welcome back to HotHardware.  Things around the lab have been exceptionally busy today.  Marco, Dave, Jeff and the rest of the crew, have been busy working away on their respective benches with some pretty swank products.  I can't say much at this point in time, but the upcoming weeks should hail some pretty impressive reviews.  In the mean time, here is round two from the juicy-fairy. ATI customers among the first in the world to play Counter-Strike™: Source™ MARKHAM, ON – ATI Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ATYT; TSX: ATY) today announced that customers who received a Half-Life 2 coupon with their purchase of a RADEON(R) 9600 or RADEON(R)... Read more...

Good morning and happy Friday to all.  Today starts off Memorial Day weekend here in the states.  For starters that automatically means a three day weekend and a boatload of traffic on the highways.  It also is a sign that summer is rapidly approaching.  Traditionally this is a time of year where families get together, barbeque and enjoy some cold beverages.  But most of all, we take the time to remember the men and women who served this great country by giving their lives in battle.  Something we should never forget, especially today when we have troops doing their job in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  Here's you news... Good afternoon friends, welcome back to Hot Hardware :)  Yesterday I received a chance to see a free screening of Shrek 2 at a new DLP cinema that recently opened.  I must say, besides the movie being outrageously funny, the presentation using DLP was amazing.  The difference in picture quality is like comparing a DVD to a VHS; definitely worth the extra cash (if you have to pay).  Anyhow, let's get to the real reason you are here.... OCZ PC3500EB Platinum DDR Memory Review @ PC Stats "When Intel introduced the i865PE/i875P chipsets over a year ago, the Pentium 4 overclocking changed, but many enthusiasts seem to have forgotten that the rules stayed the same. Hello all... I'm sure a few of you have found a few miscellaneous issues with the site here and there.  This is all part of the deal unfortunately.  The move of our static html site to a database driven engine and importing all our content in the process, is an enormous undertaking, as I'm sure you can imagine.  We currently have a few problems with getting the articles categorized in all the right places, a few broken links etc, small nagging stuff like that.   So as the saying goes, "pardon our appearance" during our renovations, we hope to have everything spiffed up real soon.  Please feel free to send me a note, if there is something that is particularly... Guillemot's Maxi Sound Fortissimo A lot of bang for your buck By  Marco ?BigWop? Chiappetta March 19, 2000 The Maxi Sound Fortissimo is a product for value minded people looking for high dollar quality.  We know there are many people out there that would look into a Live! Platinum or an Aureal SQ2500 but don?t have $100-$200 to drop on a sound card. Should these people be deprived of such great features as EAX??or A3D??what about a Digital Output?  Of course they shouldn?t be and Guillemot doesn?t think so either.  The MSRP on the Fortissimo is only $49.99 yet it has those capabilities and features, and more.  Does it compare with some of its higher priced competition? ...
