Hey gang, JeffB ringing in the weekend with the Friday morning news.  It's funny, since I've relocated to North Carolina and decided to work from home, weekends and holidays don't mean so much anymore.  I used to look forward to the weekend, and long weekends like Memorial Day, and now it really doesn't matter anymore.  Takes a little getting used to, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  Well, enough of my babble, let's get this show on the road: Review of the Belkin TuneDok Car Holder for the iPod @ WhiningDog.net: "With the TuneDok in place, the iPod looks right at home inside your car. Granted the wires coming out of your iPod do appear to be a bit unsightly but... Read more...
Greetings HotHardware fans!  How is everyone doing today?  I sure hope you're all doing well!  All of the members of the H.H. crew are working with some tasty new hardware at the moment, so we should have quite a bit of fresh content for you in the coming days.  Rob's got a couple of new 5900 XTs on the bench, Jeff's been burning some DVDs on a new drive from Plextor, and Jay's messing around with the first SATA optical drive to arrive in the lab.  Tom's got something new for the Athlon XP on tap, I've got Asus' Socket 939 K8T800 Pro running benchmarks right now, and Dave just got some top secret stuff in as well.  Chris and Rudy should also be pitching in with some... Good morning friends, welcome back to HotHardware :)  Things around the Northern part of the HH labs were fairly quiet this weekend.  My GF took off camping for two days so I was left home alone.  Needless to say, I took the opportunity to party it up with the boys ;)  Anyhow, lets get down to business so I can pop a few pills and get some work done... Corsair Twin X Pro PC4000 1 GB Dual Channel Kit @ Controlled-Insanity "In the world of computers and technology, more specifically pc memory, it is hard to speak about quality performing memory without mentioning our newest sponsor. Corsair Memory has been testing and producing the worlds fastest, highest quality ram for... Read more...
Good afternoon friends, welcome back to Hot Hardware :)  Yesterday I received a chance to see a free screening of Shrek 2 at a new DLP cinema that recently opened.  I must say, besides the movie being outrageously funny, the presentation using DLP was amazing.  The difference in picture quality is like comparing a DVD to a VHS; definitely worth the extra cash (if you have to pay).  Anyhow, let's get to the real reason you are here.... OCZ PC3500EB Platinum DDR Memory Review @ PC Stats "When Intel introduced the i865PE/i875P chipsets over a year ago, the Pentium 4 overclocking changed, but many enthusiasts seem to have forgotten that the rules stayed the same. Latency... Read more...
Good morning friends, I hope you survived the night :)  Myself, I kicked back for a little while and watch Scary Movie 3.  I found the last two movies of the series mildly funny; however, I won't be recommending this one to anyone.  If you haven't seen it, and are set on renting it, the pre-title sequence is the best part... ;) Mushkin Enhanced 1 GB PC4000 DDR Memory @ Systemcooling "Today we are going to look at some RAM from some people who have been providing memory to the enthusiast crowd for quite some time, Mushkin. When given the opportunity to look at their latest offering, a Dual Pack of PC4000 DDR, it took all of about 3 seconds to say you bet! I was familiar with... Read more...
Oh, look you are back :)  I am in the middle of resolving some issues with an article I am writing, but I figured I would take a five minute breather to toss up some news for all of you.  So, with out further delay, here is some more of the good stuff... PMI 1GIG DDR400 Platinum Turbo Dual Channel Memory Kit Review @ Tweaknews.net "PMI's PC3200 Platinum Turbo Memory can be summed up rather simply. If you are in the market for cost effective high quality PC3200 memory complete with copper heatspreaders, lifetime warranty and good overclocking potential, PMI's DDR400 would definitely be a smart buy. Throughout my three day barrage complete with gaming, benchmarking, overclocking... Read more...
Welcome back friends :)  Sorry about the late start, I am still feeling under the weather and slept most of the day.  So, before it gets much later, let's get down to business... OCZ PC3500 Enhanced Bandwidth 1GB (512x2) Dual Channel Kit @ TheCrucible.ca "The EB technology is very effective. Overclocking results from these particular PC3500 sticks was very good. Reaching near PC4000 spec without changing the default timings is always a plus. OCZ has definitely built a lot of head room into this kit. The performance at 500Mhz is also the best we have ever seen. Out scoring anything we have tested prior to these. OCZ has a real winner with their enhanced bandwidth memory." 80mm... Read more...
