New Half-Life 2 Trailer Available New footage from the second installment in Valve's first episodic trilogy is now available. In addition to revealing a little more about where the trilogy leads after Freeman's time in City 17, Trailer2 shows off the Cinematic Physics system enabled in the Source Engine by Gray Horsfield and others at Valve for Episode Two. Half-Life 2: Episode Two is targeted for release in Q1 2007 on the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. When there's nothing on TV, there's always YouTube. But the popular video service might be facing some stiff competition in the form of eefoof.com. The attracting aspect of the service is its claim to share a percentage of site revenue based on the number of viewers a video attracts. "Analysts will want to know whether eefoof can sustain itself by cutting videographers in on revenues. But at a time when many video-sharing sites are looking for compelling content, the payment offer could give Eefoof an edge in attracting superior videos." Valve's first Half-Life 2 expansion is officially out and ready for your downloading pleasure. Techgage has a review of the somewhat quick expansion, and finds it fully worth the $20 asking price. "Finally, our 18 month wait is over! We once again take the role of Gordon Freeman, and have a return of our friend Alyx. Together, we will flight from City 17. The big question is... was it worth the wait?" As if there was any doubt, Bungie will be releasing another installment of the Halo series on Microsoft's new console. Head on over to Bungie's site for the press release, E3 2006 Announcement Trailer, and a few screenshots from the game. "The game was revealed to the world at the Microsoft press conference at Grauman's Chinese Theater, in Hollywood, CA. Heya folks! Well it's the start of a new week, and for those of you who are HL2 fans, Valve has mentioned there will be a surprise for the community released this week. CS:S updates? Team-Fortress 2? Releasing the shackles of Steam? Who knows, but I'm personally hoping it's something along the lines of an actual Multiplayer for HL2... I'm back! That's right folks, my faithful internet has been down since Sunday, and because of that I had to sit and stare at my HL2 CD's as they collected dust. Oh well, at least this time wasn't as bad as when my internet was slower than Dial-Up for two months. Before I play HL2 though, I'm here to bring you fine people the news, so let's get started...
