Yahoo investors have finally gotten their way and a replacement for (now former) CEO Terry Semel has been named: Co-founder Jerry Yang.  It isn't that Terry Semel wasn't a capable leader, in fact he lead the company in the dark times that are now referred to as the .com crash era, but investors felt that he lacked the ability to guide the company in the current marketplace.  So what's next for Yahoo now?  Current speculation is that Jerry Yang is going to shake a lot of things up and potentially be looking for opportunities to partner with major players in many industries. NVIDIA's Chief Executive Jen-Hsun Huang has been in federal bankruptcy court for the last few days defending his company's move to buy one-time rival 3dfx. During his testimony, Jen-Hsun has made some interesting statements regarding his motivation for the acquisition, including his thoughts on 3dfx's engineers. "He said he'd been very interested in snaffling up the engineering expertise. "That was my primary interest all along," he confessed. To this end he said he decided to ensure 3Dfx paid off its creditors so that those involved in the graphics chip maker could, "wind down their company in a graceful way." He hoped such goodwill... Michael Dell, no doubt after an exhaustive search, thinks he's found just the guy to lead Dell back to the top spot in personal computer sales. Dell Chairman and founder Michael Dell reclaimed the position of chief executive officer, ousting Kevin Rollins after he lost the lead in personal computers and failed to revive earnings growth. The shares rose 4.3 percent after the company said Rollins, 54, resigned effective immediately. Here's one for the "Blast from the past" department.  Well, at least the name of the company is a blast from the past.  Current CEO of Amiga Inc., Bill McEwen, has been interviewed by the folks at the TempleOfTech.  He answered questions about the state of the next AmigaOS and even talks about running it on the Cell processor...
