Nokia Lumia 830 Images Leak, Svelte Aluminum Frame And A 1020-Like Camera Module

On the surface, it’s tempting to find that there are leaked pictures of yet another Nokia Lumia phone and shrug. We see these all the time, but this one is more notable because it’s one of the first that’s emerged since Microsoft bought Nokia’s Devices & Services unit.

First leaked by WPDang, the images show what purports to be the Nokia Lumia 830, and it boasts what looks to be a sexy aluminum frame. The camera module on the back evokes the one on the Nokia Lumia 1020 somewhat, but in any case it’s a 13MP Carl Zeiss PureView camera.

It’s also worth noting that the phone bears the “Nokia” brand, even though Stephen Elop, Microsoft’s new Executive Vice President of Devices, said that Microsoft was planning to dump the name. “Nokia as a brand will not be used for long going forward for smartphones,” he said earlier this year at a Q&A.

Microsoft is planning, however, to keep the Nokia name on its X line of lower-end smartphones, including the just-announced Android-based Nokia X2.
