Latest Samsung Galaxy S9 Leak Highlights Battery, Rear Camera And Fingerprint Sensor
The leaks give us a relatively close-up look at the rear fingerprint sensor, the main camera module, and the battery which will power the device. With regards to the camera, it is said to feature a 12MP sensor with a variable aperture mechanism that adjusts from f/1.5 to f/2.4. This is quite an innovative feat for a smartphone, and we're eager to see how it performs in the real-world. The camera will also support super slow-mo video at 480fps (720p).
As for the battery, we can see below that the Galaxy S9 has a 3000mAh capacity, which is the exact same as its predecessor. Likewise, the Galaxy S9+ will retain the 3500mAh rating of the Galaxy S9+. That may be a bit disappointing for those that would like to see a huge bump in battery life, but it is what it is.

Other specs that are known for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor for the United States and China. The rest of the world will receive the devices with Samsung's own Exynos 9810 processor. The Galaxy S9 will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Galaxy S9+ struts its stuff with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy S9+ will also have the advantage of dual 12MP rear cameras. Also on tap is an 8MP selfie camera, USB-C connectivity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Following their February 25th reveal, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are expected to ship on March 15th, which is roughly a month earlier than their predecessors.
