EK Launches Pre-Built Liquid Cooled Second-Gen AMD Ryzen Zen+ Gaming Rigs

Normally when you want a high-end liquid cooled PC, you end up having to roll your own. For people that lack experience that can be a daunting task because one leak could spell doom for your PC hardware. EK Water Blocks traditionally made the water blocks that gamers would purchase for building up their own gaming computers. It has now announced that it will be building pre-assembled gaming PCs ready to roll right out of the box.

The machines are being built under the EK Fluid Gaming Systems brand. The company notes that it is allocating all of its GPUs to gaming rigs rather than crypto miners (buying a pre-built PC is sometimes the only way to get hands on a decent video card on the current market). EK says that gamers who don't fancy the pre-configured gaming PCs can fully configure their own rigs to their liking.

The company allows you to choose your own mainboard, graphics card, RAM, power supply, SSD, HDD or both storage options. Buyers can choose the new second gen AMD Ryzen processors. EK can also use the CableMod Pro series sleeved cable kit if you want. Options for style are plentiful with EK offering custom painted PCs.

Various coolant colors are available as well as various fitting colors. The cooling systems promise to be much more efficient than air cooling and make the machine quieter as well. The custom cooling systems also promise to give the overhead needed for overclocking hardware as well. EK will begin shipping the fully built gaming PCs the first week of May and at launch, the PCs are only offered in the States. A basic fully liquid cooled EK Fluid Gaming System PC starts at $2,099.99. The machines can get much more expensive than that starting price.

The basic machine is called the Hero and uses a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, MSI B350 Tomahawk mainboard, G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB RAM, Samsung 960 Evo 250GB SSD, and a Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM HDD. Power for that base machine is from an EVGA SuperNova 650 power supply, graphics are a single NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU, the OS is Windows 10 Home Premium, and it has the full liquid cooling system.

The top of the line starting configuration is $4,260 and uses a Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC, 32GB of G.Skill Trident Z RGB RAM, 1TB Samsung SSD, 4TB HDD, 1000W EVGA PCU, SLI NVIDIA GeForce 1080 video cards, Windows 10 Pro and the full liquid cooling system. The rigs certainly aren’t cheap, but they do have good hardware without any off-brand parts.
