D-Link Launches DIR-X6060 And DIR-X9000 802.11ax Ultra Routers For Gigabit WiFi Speeds

You Dawg, D-Link heard you like antennas, so it put some antennas on your antennas. The company has rolled out a pair of new Ultra Wi-Fi routers that are 802.11ax compatible. The products include the AX6000 Ultra Wi-Fi Router (DIR-X6060) and the AX11000 Ultra Wi-Fi Router (DIR-X9000), and D-Link says that both are designed to push the limits of performance and range. The AX6000 supports speeds up to 6,000 Mbps while the AX11000 supports up to 11,000 Mbps.

They offer an ideal solution for power users operating a house full of bandwidth intensive applications simultaneously – from file sharing to 4K streaming to VR gaming."

Both devices share many of the same features with one 2.5Gbps WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports. Both routers also support 4x4 MU-MIMO and have eight high-performance antennas for range and performance. D-Link has an app that allows the user to manage and setup the network, and both devices have USB 3.0 ports and DLNA support.

D-Link wrote, "These innovative and tech-advanced networking solutions offer Gigabit Wi-Fi speeds and work with a new D-Link Wi-Fi app for a seamless setup process. The routers bring higher-speed throughput to more devices simultaneously for greater overall network capacity."

The routers are on display at CES 2018, but won't be available to purchase until the second half of 2018. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
