Back in early December, Qualcomm officially launched its Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform for always-connected Window 10 PCs. Not only do all of these ultra-light notebooks and 2-in-1 convertibles feature full x86 emulation in Windows 10 and Snapdragon X16 gigabit-class LTE modems, but they also promise battery life in the 20+ hour range.

Lenovo is the latest OEM to embrace Qualcomm's platform with the all-new Miix 630. The Miix 630 is a detachable convertible running Windows 10 S. Given that the fanless system has a Snapdragon 835 onboard, an Adreno 540 GPU is handling all the graphics duties. The system can be had with either 4GB or 8GB of memory, and will be available with internal storage ranging in capacity from 64GB to 256GB.

On the display front, you'll be greeted with a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ (1920x1280) screen that is protected by Gorilla Glass, while a Lenovo Digital Pen is also thrown in which supports Window Ink. You'll find a USB-C port for powering the device and connecting peripherals, an SD reader, a nanoSIM slot for the LTE modem, and an audio combo jack. There's also a rear-mounted 13MP IR camera along with a front-mounted 5MP camera. The Miix 630 weighs in at 2.93 pounds with its keyboard attached, and can last up to 20 hours per charge according to Lenovo's testing (when looping local video).

Lenovo has also thrown a bit of curve ball with the announcement of its new Smart Display. The Smart Display is an AI assistant in the same mold as Amazon's Echo Show, complete with an 8-inch or 10-inch HD display. However, instead of featuring Amazon Alexa, the Smart Display is powered by the Google Assistant.

Lenovo says that the Smart Display can be used to view Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Photos (among other Google apps). You'll also be able to ask it questions with regards to your upcoming schedule, weather or even check up on the latest news. In addition, it serves as an always-connected hub for your smart home.

The Smart Display 8 features an 8-inch 720p display, while the Smart Display 10 features a 10-inch 1080p display. Both are based on the Qualcomm Home Hub Platform (Snapdragon 624 processor), a 5MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth, 802.11ac, and can be situated either vertically or horizontally.

The Lenovo Smart Display 8 and Smart Display 10 will be available this summer priced at $199 and $249 respectively. Both can be configured in either soft grey or a natural bamboo color to better integrate into your home's decor.
