Lian-Li's Totally HOT DK-05 Aluminum And Glass Motorized Sit-Stand PC Desk Now Available

It’s been well over a year since Lian-Li first gave us a glimpse at its motorized DK-04 sit-stand desk, which wowed us with its stunning good looks, features, and overall functionality. Now, Lian-Li is back with the inevitable successor, the DK-05, and it is definitely worthy of your attention.

The DK-05 was first shown off earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and is capable of housing two fully functioning workstations within its enclosure. E-ATX motherboards are supported, and each complete system has access to four 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch storage bays. Each also can accommodate high-performance graphics cards up to 36cm in length and high capacity ATX power supplies. Sounds like a perfect home for AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 64.

The DK-05 is big upgrade from the DK-04, which could only support one system. Another notable enhancement comes on the cooling front, as there needs to be enough capacity to accommodate two hard-charging systems. On this front, there is now support for 12 120mm fans, compared to 8 for its predecessor. And for those that have plans for water cooling, there’s room for a single 480mm radiator and three 360mm radiators.

As with the DK-04, the surface of the desk itself is covered in tempered glass, so you can look down and see all of your PC’s components in living color (might we suggest a nice AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X or an Intel Core i9-7900X). The actual desk surface measures 140cm x 78cm, which should be more than enough to handle doubling up on keyboards, mice and monitors that would be necessary for controlling two PCs. There are also front panel connections on either side of the desk to accommodate each system. Each has access to two USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 3.1 Type-C port, HDMI and HD audio connectors.

And since this is still a motorized sit-stand desk, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that it is height-adjustable within a range of 69cm to 118cm. You’ll find the controls to raise/lower the desk (along with a digital readout of the current desk height) on the right-hand side beneath the front I/O connectors.

The Lian-Li DK-05 is currently available for sale over at Newegg for $1,989.99. But given the size of this beast, be prepared to fork over another $119.99 for shipping.
